New Aer Lingus Aerclub Benefits to Come From Loyalty Programme with Avios

Ireland’s premier airline, Aer Lingus has launched AerClub, a new loyalty programme for members.

The first Irish loyalty scheme of its kind, Aerclub already boasts over 400,000 members and offers great rewards to travellers, every time they fly.

Powered by Avios, fliers can collect points every time they travel with Aer Lingus and also when using the Avios eStore to shop with popular brands such as Argos, Marks and Spencer, Currys, John Lewis, Supervalu, Debenhams, Hilton, to name a few. Points earned collect in members’ AerClub account and Avios points can be used to book flights with Aer Lingus and partner airlines.

Frequent fliers and loyal customers are recognised though AerClub’s tier system, which rewards those who fly most and book more. Aer Lingus tier points are given to all members, but memberships are broken down into four separate categories – Green, Silver, Platinum and Concierge. Each tier has a differing combination of travel benefits which may include perks such as lounge access, priority check in, priority boarding and bonus points earning.

Aer Lingus have reported that 400,000 members have already registered to receive AerClub benefits, with an extra 1,500 signing up every day.

Aer Lingus Launch Are Club

Marking the official launch of AerClub, Aer Lingus Chief Operating Officer, Mike Rutter said: “We are delighted to officially launch AerClub and to be the first Irish airline loyalty programme that gives members opportunities to earn rewards not only in the air but also through purchases made on the ground and online via our retail partners. Unlike many loyalty programmes AerClub is centered on inclusivity and already we have over 400,000 members with as many as 1,500 continuing to sign up each day. Partnering with recognised brands such as SuperValu and Kildare Village allows members to collect Avios points with everyday purchases which in turn can be used to fly with Aer Lingus on more than 100 routes across Europe and North America.”

Eileen McGuinness, Head of Market for Ireland, Avios commented: “I’m delighted to welcome AerClub members to Avios and we are confident that this partnership will enhance their travel experience. Customers are at the heart of Avios which is why we are committed to providing relevant and frequent collection and inspired and valuable spending opportunities.  This partnership is good news for existing customers too, who now have even more access to reward flights and on new domestic and international routes.”
