UAE Ministry of Health Issue New Entry Requirements for Tourists & Residents

Following changes in October 2018, the UAE Ministry of Health has announced changes to entry requirements for those visiting or returning to the country.

It has been confirmed that tourists and residents carrying medication into the country for personal use will need to get online approval in advance.

Some prescription medication and over the counter pharmaceuticals which can be obtained easily in the UK and Ireland, are considered controlled substances in the UAE. As such these cannot be taken into the country without prior permission.

Before travelling or returning to UAE, travellers must complete an online form and may be required to provide supporting documents and evidence to their application.

A full list of the medications included can be found on the UAE Ministry of Health website.

Clients, please contact us if you have any queries or need assistance with VISA, passports etc.
