From 1 October 2019 the New Zealand government has announced its new tourism entry approval process, known as the Electronic Travel Authority.
Travellers from over 60 visa waiver countries, including the UK, will need an ETA and tourists can apply for one from July 1.
An ETA will cost NZ $9 (£4.50) via an app, or NZ $12 (£6) through an online application and will last up to two years.
Passengers transiting through New Zealand will also need an ETA.
The ETA is in addition to New Zealand’s International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL), which costs NZ $35 (£18).
