Severe Chicago storms lead to flight cancellations at O’Hare airport & beyond

More than 400 flights have been cancelled, due to severe weather conditions in Chicago currently. O’Hare International airport has warned travellers of serious delays and disruptions as a result.

Chicago Weather Conditions

The National Weather Service reported that severe thunderstorms were affecting the region, as well as parts of southern Wisconsin and northwest Indiana from 7PM on Wednesday 13th June.

Heavy rainfall, high winds and large hail are expected to continue to disrupt services today. There is also a limited risk of tornadoes in areas hit by the most severe storms.

Travellers already in Chicago are advised to avoid driving where possible, due to flooded roads and highways.
