CONVENIENT AND HASSLE-FREE TRAVEL AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

A £15m investment programme has resulted in a refurbished Departure Lounge which boasts 100% more customer seating, additional charging points and free WiFi throughout.

The walk through design and larger World Duty Free and WH Smith units provide passengers with more space to comfortably browse the much expanded range of products available, now including electrical ranges, mini toiletries and brands such as Bare Minerals, Elemis and Smashbox.

Passengers short on time can also avail of World Duty Free’s Reserve and Collect service enabling the online reservation of airport shopping between 1 month and 24 hours before travel.

More new arrivals to the Departure Lounge include Born and Bred, a sister company of Studio Souk selling authentic homeware, textiles, mugs and gifts produced exclusively by the local artists; and The Artisan, a new bar and restaurant that showcases and champions local produce and suppliers.

Passengers wishing to relax before their flight can check in to the Aspire Lounge and enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks overlooking the runway.

For ultimate convenience… Choose Belfast City Airport

Located just five minutes from Belfast city centre, Belfast City Airport has been named the UK and Ireland’s Most Convenient Airport in a study by The Telegraph.

However, the convenience doesn’t stop at its close proximity to the city.

As a compact, one-terminal facility, the airport has one of the shortest car-to-gate distances in Europe with passengers never being more than a few minutes’ walk from the car parks, check in area, boarding gates or baggage reclaim.

Passengers departing from Belfast City Airport can choose from one of three car parks: Long Stay, Short Stay or Premier. Launched last year, Premier is the closest car park to the terminal building and includes Fast Track Security.

Following last year’s £15m investment in improving the passenger experience, the airport is now turning its attention to its exterior with a covered walkway connecting the car park to the terminal already under construction and plans to further transform the passenger flow upon arrival on site.

For security times of 6 mins or less… Choose Belfast City Airport

The significant investment has also resulted in the overhaul of the Central Security Area reducing the average processing time to just six minutes!

Katy Best, Commercial Director at Belfast City Airport, said:

“The introduction of automatic tray return coupled with new scanning equipment and electronic boarding gates has allowed multiple passengers to be processed at any one time.

“This has had a huge impact on the efficiency of our Security Area and has therefore significantly reduced the amount of time our passengers have to spend moving through Security.

“The feedback on this has been incredible with many passengers in disbelief at how well this process works at Belfast City Airport and how much it improves their overall journey.”

For on-time, Frequent Flights…Choose Belfast City Airport

With blue chip airlines including Aer Lingus, British Airways, Flybe and KLM, Belfast City Airport ranks within the top three airports in the UK and Ireland for punctuality.

An extensive domestic route network serves destinations such Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester with high frequency.

Passengers travelling to London can choose from up to 13 flights per day to London City and London Heathrow.
