Flybe Remind Travellers of New Cabin Baggage Rules

Flybe have issued a reminder to travellers about what size and weight of cabin baggage that they will accept onboard an aircraft.

Just as the summer season gets into full swing and airports become packed with crowds of holidaymakers, the airline have reached out to make sure their new rules are complied with.

Previously, it had been the case that passengers could carry a piece of luggage sized 55 x 40 x 23cm onto the plane. However from April 2016 the size was reduced to 55 x 35 x 20cm (including wheels and handles). The weight of your hand luggage must be no more than 10kg.

Unlike some other airlines, Flybe will allow you to also carry one smaller piece of cabin baggage on board. Handbags and smaller items must be able to fit under the seat in front and your two items’ combined weight must be no more than 10kg.

It has been reiterated that cabin bags which do not comply with these weight and size guidelines could be identified at the airport gate and transferred to hold. A fee will be charged should this occur.
