Icelandair launch Belfast / Reykjavik flights

Icelandair have started flying directly from Belfast to Reykjavik for the first time.

Due to increased demand, the airline launched their new route in June 2017 and even better, it will be a year-round service. It has been announced that the flights will operate from Belfast City Airport to Reykjavik three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Flight time will be 2 hours 55 minutes and passengers will travel on a 72 seat Bombardier Q400.

Reykjavik has proved a popular stop off for travellers bound for the US and Canada, from the UK and wider Europe.

The city has experienced a boom in tourism over the last half decade, as tourists flood in to experience the stunning landscapes and natural phenomenons.
