Business travellers have welcomed news that Translink are making it easier for passengers to travel from Derry to Belfast International Airport.
Introducing a new through-ticketing service, officials have confirmed that they will be linking a bus service between Antrim Train Station and Belfast Airport, allowing passengers to buy one ‘Airlink’ ticket which will cover the whole journey.
The Derry to Belfast train journey will mean travellers can purchase their Airlink ticket on the train or at any station between Derry and Ballymena. Buses will be timed to fit in with train arrivals and departures and the entire trip should take less than two hours.
The existing Translink train timetables and routes will remain unchanged for all other passengers looking to travel elsewhere in Northern Ireland.
