Beyond Business Travel Working With With CBI Northern Ireland

Beyond Business Travel recently sponsored the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) Northern Ireland’s Insights Reception in Belfast, with CBI Director-General, Carolyn Fairborn.

As long term members of the UK’s premier business organisation, which has been providing a voice for firms at a regional, national and international level for decades, we were keen to get involved in this prestigious annual event.

Carolyn was in Northern Ireland for the CBI’s Autumn Annual Lunch and the evening before, hosted a drinks reception for a small and select group of members. It was an ideal opportunity for local business leaders to engage with Fairborn and other influential members to discuss the current priorities and concerns in NI.

During her speech, Carolyn offered huge praise to local businesses and raved about their successes in 2017. She also shared an update on CBI’s policy work – with some insights around key political meetings she held in the latter part of 2017.

Our Commercial and Strategy Director, Shauna Burns also offered some insights into the Business Travel sector and how travel can drive growth for Northern Ireland based companies.

We were delighted to be joined by representatives from leading companies and organisations such as: SSE Airtricity Energy Supply, Wilson’s Country Ltd, AJ Power Ltd, Londonderry Port & Harbour, Aurora Prime Real Estate, Brewin Dolphin, Bubblegum Holdings, Canyon Europe Ltd, KPMG, Allstate Northern Ireland, Bryson Charitable Group, National Museums NI, Lanyon Communications, Yardmaster International, Denroy, Warrenpoint Harbour Authority, Telestack International Ltd, Mash Direct, Graham, Carson McDowell, Catalyst Inc, Toughens Solicitors, Ulster University and Intertrigo Ltd.

For anyone that missed the event, we will also be attending the CBI Annual Dinner in April 2018, sponsored by Barclays.
